Abstract
Implementation of Hospital Information System is a bit scarce especially with the regard to developing countries. This paper aims to look into the problem faced while implementation. This paper also aims to provide a better understanding of Advance Hospital information system (AHIS) testing and implementation and serves as a guide to anyone who wishes to implement an AHIS in such an environment. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is a large public sector hospital in India that is currently in process of implementing the AHIS project so the experiences&problem encountered during its first phase implementation has been tried to extract out into this paper.
